About the building and the people:
The building, originally a five-storey townhouse, was converted at the beginning of 2015 into this charming 4-star hotel with a contemporary and unique style.
The Fifteen Keys Hotel comes from the passion of two partners for the art of hospitality, Sara Ferrajoli (Managing Director) and Vincenzo Mirisola di Torresanto.
It all started in a meeting between both of them, when this common project started, even if they had two completely different professional backgrounds.
Sara worked for many years for the JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group, the most important hotel consultancy company, where she gained experience of the hotel industry. During these years of travel, she had the possibility of staying in the most important Italian hotels, and she developed a significant professional knowledge. She wanted to transform her experiences, into a hotel of her own.
Her partner Vincenzo, is a dentist, passionate for his job, but with a huge interest in interior design, and a personal hospitality background because his family has run hotels for three generations.
They found a hidden treasure in the heart of Rione Monti, one of Rome’s most charming old residential neighbourhoods. In June 2014, under the direction of the architect Antonio Girardi, they started the renovation of this building, a five-storey townhouse from the early 1900s.
They have been inspired by the great Italian values of hospitality and style. They have given them a modern, whimsical twist in order to create an iconic structure that strives for contemporary excellence in hotel design, service and food. They did this in one of the most interesting and trendy locations in Rome.
They personally paid attention to every single detail of the Fifteen Keys Hotel. They looked for design elements that could enrich the atmosphere and the ambiance, with the objective of finding the right balance between classical and modern.
They selected the best suppliers for the buffet breakfast, which they value very much, in order to offer, to their guests, only the best artisanal biological products.
They are particularly proud of their team, comprised of young, motivated, passionate hospitality professionals, who always manage to create for their guests the casual atmosphere, that is their main objective: a homely feeling, pleasantly discreet and gently sophisticated.
They aimed to create a hotel with a strong cosmopolitan personality, targeting a young clientele, used to travel. In these first months they have catered for various travellers, of different nationalities, with a positive attitude. With their smiles and their words they have shown an appreciation for their concept, and for the passion they display every single day.
