Nord Pinus Hotel — Beautiful riad on the highest point of the Kasbah
Accommodation
The Nord Pinus Hotel has one double room, four suites and one independent private house; all of them with enigmatic and suggestive names.
The smells of the leather from Córdoba, cedar wood and sea create a magic combination. The rooms are decorated with antique fabrics, Indian silks, beds of bronze, marble and zelliges.
The reception, bar and restaurant are beautifully furnished with tables and chairs from Adnet, and other furniture from Morocco, Syria and Egypt. The lights are from David Hicks and Charlotte Perriand and the sofas have embroiled cushions from Fez. A real magic scenery.
From the terraces of two hundred square meters, as from a ship, you can sail to the lights of town, the sultan's garden and the straits of Gibraltar. About the building and the people
The hotel sits at the highest point of the old town, in an 18th-century building that was once the palace of the Pacha, the city’s governor.
About the building and the people
Its French owner, Anne Igou (a hotelier from Arles), spent 16 months restoring the building, and the décor blends traditional Moroccan and modern European touches.
Location
The extraordinary location provides a breathtaking view of Tarifa, the Spanish coast, the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean sea.
It is a haven of peace in the midst of an ever-changing town, a unique look-out onto Tangier and its museums of the Kasbah and In Battuta.
